It occurred to me that I’d not been traipsing around outdoors with my camera to capture the glorious skies for most of this winter.
What an unusual winter it has been. I’ve not seen too many glorious skies….if they were out there it was too bitterly cold to care, too icy to venture out, or just cloudy and raining / flooding.
I decided to take a look back at some of them captured over the years ( a few are in rain puddles :)
This is an all time favorite :)
ANOTHER all time favorite of mine :) The sky in a puddle of fall leaves….
If you have had a dreary or hard winter I hope that this has cheered you up a bit as looking back as cheered me :)

There’s a saying around here that if March comes in like a lion it will go out like a lamb, or visa versa.
That has, for the most part meant that if March comes in like a lion, we will have howling winds and a blizzard of snow.
This year March 2017 started in the wee hours of the morning with lighting and thunder. Storms and heavy rain continued throughout the morning, with flood warnings and a tornado warning as well.
Late in the day it all cleared out and I took my sons’ dog Merle for a nice long walk, spent some time there when they arrived home from work and school and when I got back home I took out the camera for some late day shots.
The little squirrel was ready for some peanuts after the storm
UPS had delivered this beautiful Mary print for my altar.
And then the gorgeous skies!

I called this March beginning a crazy lion because we went from severe thunderstorms and a 60 degree high to plummeting temperatures and snow showers:)
