Moon and Clouds

The moon and clouds were so pretty yesterday morning before dawn that I thought to try to capture it.

Later on in the day, about a half hour before sunset, the clouds were just lovely. I do not think a camera can ever capture what the eye is seeing but I run out with it nonetheless : )

Amazing and horrible to think that in one state a person can be appreciating the beauty of the clouds, thankful that she only had heavy rain and wind the night before, while in another state what was in the clouds brought devastation. Prayers for all in the Midwest that are suffering from the tornadoes and what they have wrought.

Those are gorgeous pictures. I can’t imagine what the people who were in the path of that storm are feeling right now. So much devastation.
I put the books in the mail yesterday..

    Absolutely beautiful photography.

  4. Beautiful photos! I took pics of the moon here last night, but they are so wobbly. The wind was blowing and it made it difficult to be perfectly still. I must invest in another tripod. I loaned mine to my daughter and we can’t seem to find it now.
Praying for all those affected by the tornadoes & damaging winds.

Carolyn I don’t have a tripod so most of my pictures were pretty bad! I think these two turned out alright because I was steadying myself against the back yard fence pole at that point. SO…2 out of 30 ? :) LOL that is why I take alot of pictures…I know I’ll be trashing most of them! : )

Beautiful photos!! Those who were in the tornados’ paths have been in my thoughts and prayers. They have lost so much.

These are beautiful. I especially love the second one. xo Laura

  7. I love the pretty pink color around the moon. We’ve been watching it the past few days, too. Amazing!

You’ve managed to capture it all beautifully.

Beautiful pictures! Views like these always make me stop and ponder questions about life and such.

  10. Debra, these are fabulous and I can’t believe you didn’t have a tripod. Maybe Santa will bring you one? ;)

  11. Gorgeous shots. After living for over 30 years in the Midwest, it is devastating to hear of tornadoes in mid November. And, it always amazes me that one state can be suffering such devastation and the rest of us are okay – well, at least for the moment.

Your photos are beautiful. I’m in northern IL and the tornadoes were 3 hours south of me. The one little town that was leveled – Washington – is the town a friend of mine lives in. His house is still standing, but some of his friends lost their homes.

Hauntingly beautiful – those first two could be cover shots for “The Headless Horseman.”
There is so much photography talent showcased on blogs these days and yours is one of my favorite places to find them. Everything from striking skies to flowers that refuse to freeze, frisky squirrels, perky little birds – and some pretty darn cute grandkids – it’s all here, everyone!

Beautiful pictures – I especially like that second one. Amara and I were just talking yesterday that it just seems weird that it is warm and sunny here and 2000 miles away in Michigan it is snowing! Sure hate the idea of these terrible storms this late in the year.
