Best little quilting buddy anyone could have had

Kanga my little quilting buddy has passed on. I’ll probably take a blogging break for awhile…My DIL and I just buried her this morning.

I think every other sewing post had a picture of her in it over the years :)

A few favorites of her as I looked over the blog :

Bye sweet girl.

It is unspeakably hard to experience a loss of a long time furry friend. They are so much s part of your life that it can feel as though a huge part of you is missing
and the ache will never heal.
I believe that God is taking even better care of them than we could, but they are so missed.
Let your heart feel what it must for awhile. Be kind and patient with yourself.
Feast on the beauty of nature. The glorious uplifting colors, the sounds and anything that brings healing to your heart.

  16. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet. They become basically family members, and when they leave there certainly is a grieving process to deal with. Again, I’m very sorry.

What sad news. I hope things look brighter soon. I’m babysitting my daughters dog Suzie. Everytime I go to call her in from outside I have to consciously stop myself from saying, “Come on Penny”. My little dog Penny has been gone for over 10 years. She still a sweet memoty.

  18. Chris K in Wisconsin says:

So very sorry for your loss. We lost our dear Mo in March of 2017. She was 17 years old. 3 mos later we adopted a new sweet kitty, and his Gotcha Day is this coming Sunday!! Every time we lose a furry family member, I swear NEVER AGAIN….. but somehow they wander in to find US. Take care. Love on those pups as you miss your dear Kanga. It does help a bit.

I am old I have had many fur babies pass through my life each one has left paw prints on my heart. Right now my husband and I have an old rescued cat living with us, she had her front claws removed and her “owner” was going to put her down as she wasn’t able to “rehome” the cat. I took the cat home rather than have the cat killed. So this kitty was afraid of out little chihuahua dogs and our other cat. So my husband (once he got over the shock of another fur baby) and I decided no new fur babies as long as this one is with us. All our other fur babies have gone over the rainbow bridge. This kitty is the only now and she is good to us she sleeps part of the night on me part on my husband, she tells us when we need to groom her, she shares my husbands water with him she can be quite vocal and she gives us plenty of purring
We know she is old but no idea how old she came to us in the spring of 2006 and she was several years old at that time.
We know when her time comes it will be hard.
